Flower Cake

Lemons

Double layer Lemon cake.

YUMMM YUMMM YUMMM
One day I was roaming around a store... Not exactly planning on spending money.

Yeah, we all know how that went.

I ended up buying things I didn't need....

One of them was what I felt would make a great cake plate!! (I know its an addiction!!)

If you ask my father it looks like a bird cage....

Any-who, Mommy brought home a very purdy box of ornaments.

I decided, "why couldn't I put them in my new cake plate??"

PSSSHHHHH

I can so do what I want!!

So I did! :)

This was my end result.

Ornament Wreath

I have seen many blogs posting about there ornament wreaths.

My mother kept insisting that I make one.

I gave in and ran up the the nearest dollar store.

I purchased all the red ornaments I could get my little hands on.

I had to get large and small ones.

I even grabbed a few green and gold in case I didn't have enough red.

Next was to take a wire hanger and make it into a circle.

I must have failed shapes in kindergarten... That might be the worst circle ever! haha

Don't worry, with all the balls on it you wont notice..... to much.

I opened all of mine out in front of me.

Then I organized all the sparkly, shiny, and regular, large and small into different sections.

Then just start sliding them on.

After what felt like 100,000 ornaments, I pushed them together and gave it a little shake for them to fit together.

Yeah... that might have been the worst feeling in the world!

Alright, not the worst. However I knew this would take a lot of time.

Luckily I had started Les Miserable. (three hours)

After all of Les Mis, (replaying my favorite songs) a few breaks, I was soo close to being done.

As you can see slightly lopsided.. all you need to do is give it a little adjustment and all is good.

Don't worry only you will feel like it isn't even.

All I needed to do next was connect it back together, add a bow and hang it up!

My lazy self had enough of this so a bow didn't exactly make it...

However I like it like this.

Salty and Sweet Bites

Having a Christmas party and want to show off to all your friends??

Or maybe its just your mother-in-law.

A fun little Salty and Sweet snack before the main meal is just what you need.

On a cookie tray place pretzels.

You can use square, regular, any one that pleases your fancy.

I happened to have the square ones in my  pantry.

Next unwrap kisses, or rolos, what ever little chocolate you like.
(This is a great part to have you kids help)

Oh remember buy and extra bag or just try not to eat them as you open them.
(I have to purchase an extra bag... or two.)

I went with peppermint and caramel kisses.

Peppermint :)

Caramel :)

Next stick them in the an 375 oven. for about three minutes. (or until somewhat melted)

While they are still warm place your choice of treat on top and press down.

I went through a bag of M&Ms and picked out all the green and reds. And all the non broken pecans.

Be warned. These salty sweet treats are addicting. Once you eat one you can't stop.

Popcorn to Your Ears!!

I work at the Movie Theaters.

Every time I close I am allowed to take home all the popcorn I desire.

One night I brought home two large large bags home.

One regular popcorn and a smaller bag of kettle corn.

When I say large I mean I gave away about three large garbage bags and still had dayyyys of popcorn.

I decided to start giving it away to anyone I can think of.

However, who wants just popcorn??

Don't get me wrong its great and all but why eat that when you can have Chocolate popcorn??

Chocolate, I think yes!!

I put some popcorn on cookie trays.

Next melt some chocolate.

I did white chocolate and chocolate chips.

I even put them in cute little bottles.

Then just go to town drizzling both all over the popcorn.

Let it cool on the trays.

When you feel they are ready then go a head and eat your heart out.

Or give them away.

It is all up to you. :)

Candy Cane Fingers

I work in a place where many people see my nails.

I have a bad, bad habit of biting my nails.

If I can't have cute long nails, my polish should be adorable!!

Because it is around Christmas time, I decided to go with Candy cane nails.

First paint your nails White.

Now that was easy!!
(I find best to let them dry for the day and do next step that night or next day)

Now I do not have that fancy polish with the thin brush to paint on designs.

My solution... Painter's Tape.

Cut into very thin strips and apply to nails.

Make sure you have them pressed down very well.

(Don't want any paint sneaking under.)

Next is to just paint them Your favorite red!! :)

(Mom used all of mine so I went with the next best one I could find.)

Looks a little pink I did add a second coat after the picture was taken.

Now before you start pealing the tape off make sure that it is all the way dry or you will take all the red off.

Rough picture.

Next a clear coat and you are ready to go.

The next morning before I went to work, I cleaned up the paint on my skin and added a sliver glitter.

Chocolate Peppermint

As basic as the name. :)
